YUMA, Arizona - Beatrice Dorman Dickinson, 76, passed away suddenly Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at her home in Yuma.

She was born June 2, 1938, in Wendell, Idaho. She was educated in Boise, Idaho, and was a graduate of Boise State University as a registered nurse.
She practiced nursing for many years before becoming a nurse practitioner from the University of Massachusetts. Upon retirement, Bea taught nursing at Arizona State University. She truly loved her profession and was highly regarded by her colleagues.
She loved to travel the world and visit new and interesting places. She played the piano and violin, was a member of a local bridge club and an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband Owen Dorman of Yuma; her daughter Trina Raucher, her husband Donald and their two children, Taylor and Lyndsey of Florence, Massachusetts; her daughter Tanya Abbatessa and her two children, Colin and Conor of Leeds, Massachusetts; her son Leon Dickinson and his three children, Cody, Alexandra and Mathew of Holden, Massachusetts; her daughter Angela Dickinson of Easthampton, Massachusetts; and her son Bruce Dickinson, his wife Jacqueline and their three children, Dakota, Ashton, and Blake of West Boylston, Massachusetts. She is also survived by her two loving brothers, in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of longtime friends.
All services will be out of state and private.
