NORTHAMPTON - Alice (Bielecki) Baceski, 96, of Northampton, passed away peacefully Monday, Jan. 2, 2017.
She was born Feb. 22, 1920, in Hatfield, to the late Alex and Anna (Sokolicki) Bielecki. Alice was educated in Hatfield schools, and went on to work at the former Northampton State Hospital for 42 years as a purchase agent.
She was a communicant of the former St. John Cantius Church and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Northampton, where she was a member of the Woman's Club and the Rosary Sodality. Alice enjoyed winter vacations in Florida and Maine in the spring and fall.
Alice is survived by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Alice was predeceased by her husband Edward Baceski, who passed away Feb. 8, 2002, and her sisters Stella Lapienski, Lucy Barchenski, Virginia Ziemba, Agnes Banas, Laura Kubasek and Helen Czerniak.
Calling hours will be Saturday, Jan. 7, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the Drozdal Funeral Home in Northampton, followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Church, 99 King St., Northampton. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Hatfield.
