FLORENCE– Doris A. Mercure, 69, of Florence, passed away Saturday, Sep. 29, 2012, at her home.

Doris was born June 19, 1943, in Springfield on, the daughter of the late Stanley B. and Elza M. (Tremblay) Keyes.
Doris attended Springfield schools, graduating from high school there. She had been a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in the pediatric department of the former Northampton Nursing Home. While employed at the nursing home she met her late husband, Philip Mercure. Philip died in 2010.
Doris worked for many years at the Hu Ke Lau restaurant in Chicopee. She was a member of Cornerstone Chapel in Northampton.
Doris loved her "Wii parties." She also loved cooking and knitting and enjoyed doing things for others whenever the opportunity arose.
In addition to her late husband Phil, Doris was predeceased by a brother, Ernest Keyes.
She is survived by her daughter, Cindy and her husband Robert Turner of Westhampton; her son, Scott and his wife Carrie Egleston of Westfield; her grandchildren, Michelle Turner and Robert Turner III; her step-grandson, Adam Hibert; two brothers, Richard Keyes and his wife Shirley of Kalamazoo, Mich. and Donald Keyes and his wife Marjorie of Ludlow; her two dogs, Spanki and Sammy; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Calling hours for Doris will be held at Pease and Gay Funeral Home, 425 Prospect St., Northampton on Thursday from 4 to 7p.m. The funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 5 at 8:30 a.m. at the Cornerstone Chapel, 580 Bridge Rd., Northampton, with burial at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
