WHATELY - Dorothy F.(Baranoski) Sadowski, 84, of 405 Long Plain Road, Whately, died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Born Oct. 4, 1928, in South Deerfield, the daughter of William P. and Blanche M.(Erman) Baranoski, she was educated in South Deerfield Schools and Deerfield High School.
She married Walter "Babe" J. Sadowski on Jan. 10, 1948. They lived in South Deerfield until 1995, then moved to Whately. Walter pre-deceased her in 1997.
She was employed by Oxford Pickle Company since 1960, retiring in 2005.
She is survived by one son, Stanley W. Sadowski of South Deerfield; one daughter, Cynthia J. Kicza and husband James of Hadley; grandsons, James E. Kicza Jr. and wife Kimberly of Gramby and Jeremy Nuttleman of Hadley; great-granddaughters, Natilie and Lydia Kicza of Gramby; and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves one brother and one sister.
Dorothy loved all crafts, traveling Red Sox baseball, UMass basketball and Patriot football.
There are no calling hours, and funeral services and her burial will be private.
