EASTHAMPTON - Emily "Peaches" (Zerek) Krzanowski, 81, of Pepin Avenue, passed away at her home on Nov. 7, 2012.

Born in Holyoke, the daughter of the late Mary Zerek, Emily was raised by her grandmother, Martha Zerek.

She was a co-owner of the former Emily's Pizza and Grinder Shoppe in Easthampton and worked for Moore Drop Forge and National Non Wovens. She retired from the October Company in Easthampton.

She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Cross Church and the former Mater Dolorosa Church, both in Holyoke.

Emily enjoyed the beach, trips to the casino and cooking for friends and family. She was an avid bingo player and a Boston Red Sox fan, but her greatest love was her family.

Emily was married for 62 years to the late Rudy Krzanowski, who passed away July 19, 2012. She was also predeceased by a sister, Teresa "Pat" Darnell.

She leaves a son, Gregory Krzanowski and his wife Kirstin of Easthampton; two daughters, Sue Krzanowski of Northampton and Kathy Krzanowski of North Providence, R.I.; two sisters, Carolyn Norris of Lowell and Barbara Duczynski of Monson; two grandchildren, Gregory Krzanowski, Jr. and Courtney Krzanowski; and a great-grandson, Anthony Krzanowski.

Her funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. at the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Cross Church, 23 Sycamore St., Holyoke.

Burial will be in the Mater Dolorosa Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
