HATFIELD – Frances Janet Cialek, 89, of 467 Main St., died Friday evening in Linda Manor Nursing Facility in Leeds.

She was born Aug. 13, 1923, in Northampton, the daughter of Felix and Mary (Zawistowski) Cybulski. She was educated in local schools.
She married Edward Cialek, Sr. on Nov. 19, 1945, in Holy Trinity Church in Hatfield.
She is survived by two sons, Edward Cialek, Jr. and his wife Margaret and David Cialek and his wife Mary, all of Hatfield; her sister, Alice Waskiewicz of Hadley; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her two sisters, Mary Simienski and Faye Czapla and one daughter, Janet O'Brien.
Frances was a retired kitchen worker at Smith College and later at the University of Massachusetts. She was a member of Our Lady of Grace.
A memorial mass will be held at a date and time to be announced. Donations in her memory may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children, 516 Carew St., Springfield, MA.
