GOSHEN - Gerald C. Magdalenski, 74, passed away peacefully Monday, March 2, 2015, surrounded by family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born Feb. 5, 1941, in Northampton, he was the son of late Benjamin and Elizabeth (Korpita) Magdalenski.
He attended Williamsburg schools and worked several jobs, retiring to pursue his passion in antique sales and restoration. His passion was also shared with his beloved wife Sandra and loving friends Tony and Nancy Ghatti.
Jerry will be missed by his daughters Mona Desai and her husband Abhi of Longmeadow, Darlene Bernier-Thayer of New Market, Maryland, and Bethany Magdalenski and her partner William Graham of Goshen, and his son Christopher Magdalenski of Westfield. He will also be missed by his grandchildren Tara, Joshua, Benjamin, Evan, William, Caitlin, Amanda, Aaron and Allyson; great-grandchildren Deagan, Dylin, Tyrus, Ayden and Kylah; his brother James and his wife Bernie of Haydenville; his sisters Patsy Partyka of Chicopee, Shirley Cameron and her husband Luther of Diamondhead, Mississippi; several nieces and nephews; and his many loving friends in Massachusetts and Maine.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Sandra (Bernier) Magdalenski and son Aaron David Magdalenski.
Jerry was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, always putting his family first. He will be greatly missed and the memories will always be cherished.
Calling hours will be held Friday, March 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Drozdal Funeral Home in Northampton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
