NORTHAMPTON - Ingeborg (Hoehne) Menegat, 90, of 9 Linden St., passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Born Aug. 3, 1922, in Berlin, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Fritz and Martha Hoehne.
She was employed in Berlin, Germany, with the Siemen's Co. as a chief accountant and during World War II transferred to Erlanger, Bavaria, Germany. During the World War II occupation she was employed by the Ninth Air Force Post Exchange.
She married Sgt. Norman Menegat in Bad Kissinger, Bavaria, Germany and emigrated to Northampton in 1947.
She worked for Kollmorgan Optical Corp. for 37 years as an accountant, retiring in 1989.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Norman Menegat and her son Kenneth Menegat and his wife Judith Campbell of Amherst.
Ingeborg's funeral will be Thursday morning at 9 a.m. from the Ahearn Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Elizabeth Seton Parish Church, 99 King St., Northampton at 10 a.m.
Entombment in the Menegat Mausoleum will follow in Bridge Street Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
