WARNER, N.H. - Janet Chesson Hale, 86, of Warner, passed away Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Concord Hospital, in New Hampshire, after a short illness.

Janet was born March 20, 1926, in Springfield, Mass., to Doris Crooks and Harold Chesson. She grew up in West Brookfield, Mass., graduated from Warren Massachusetts High School and Lasell Junior College.
She lived in Williamsburg and Whately, Mass., before moving to New Hampshire in 2010.
She was employed as a secretary at Williamsburg Massachusetts schools and Farm Family Insurance in Northampton, Mass.
Her many hobbies included antiquing, quilting, rug hooking and braiding and painting.
She is survived by her three sons, Herbert of Merrimacport, Mass., Peter and his wife Jan and David all of Henniker, a brother and sister-in-law, H. Ray and Laurel Chesson, Jr., of East Brookfield, Mass. and nieces and nephews.
Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, West Brookfield, Mass., in the spring.
