WILLIAMSBURG - Joan Kenney Gulow, 79, died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Linda Manor Extended Care Facility in Leeds.

Joan was born in Springfield to Isabelle (Wright) and Roger Kenney.
She grew up in Springfield and Wilbraham, graduating from Classical High School and attended the former Northampton Commercial College.
She worked at Mass Mutual, Pro Brush and was a seamstress for Joseph's of Florence.
In 1952 she moved to Williamsburg. She was a member of the Williamsburg Congregational Church, the former Williamsburg Mother's Club, and the Brush & Pallet Club of Williamsburg. She also enjoyed quilting.
She is survived by her husband James of 57 years; her children Christopher, Timothy, Peter and his wife Jacqueline and Dianne Bedard; her five grandchildren, Jonathan, Jillian, Benjamin, Daniel Gulow and Scott Bedard; along with several nieces and nephews. She leaves her cousin Mary Wagner and a brother David Kenney.
Joan was predeceased by her sister Irene Kenney Roberts.
There will be no calling hours.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 3, at 1 p.m. at the Williamsburg Congregational Church. Burial to follow at the Village Hill Cemetery.
