HATFIELD - Linda K. Vollinger, 66, of 81 Bridge St., passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Monday morning, July 1, 2013.

Born in Northampton, Oct. 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Edward S. Kempisty and Sally (Tudryn) Kempisty. She was raised and educated in Hatfield, attending Hatfield Elementary School and graduated from Smith Academy. Linda had worked as a librarian at the Hatfield Public Library and also as a paraprofessional with the Hatfield Elementary School. She touched the lives of many young learners.
Linda was a communicant of Our Lady of Grace Church (formerly known as St. Joseph's Church) in Hatfield.
She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Donald "Ducky" Vollinger, and her two sons, Donald Vollinger and Carol Havlir of Hatfield and Daniel and Sura Vollinger of South Deerfield.
Besides her husband, children and mother, Linda is survived by her sisters, Judith Tapley of Sarasota, Fla., Patricia Pipczynski of Hadley, Diane Scott of Easthampton, Beverly Duclos of Conyers, Ga., Brenda Kempisty of Hatfield, Sally Wickles of Hatfield, sister-in-law Elaine Kempisty of Easthampton, and several nieces and nephews.
Linda was pre-deceased by her father, Edward S. Kempisty, and brother, Edward "Jamie" Kempisty.
Linda's funeral will be Tuesday morning, July 9, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hatfield. Burial will immediately follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours are Monday, July 8, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ahearn Funeral Home.
