FLORENCE - Magdalene "Emma" (Hager) Doppman, 75, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013, at Cooley Dickinson hospital.

Magdalene was born Aug. 4, 1937, in Holyoke, but she was a long time resident of Florence.
She is survived by her Daughter Julie of East Windsor, Conn.; seven nieces; four nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and extended family members and friends.
Emma worked at various positions but some of her most loved were Birds Store, Ann August clothing store as a bookkeeper and as a teacher's assistant at Jackson Street School with special needs children.
Emma was a devoted mother, grand-aunt, sister and friend. She will be greatly missed.
Emma enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, dancing and Karaoke.
A private remembrance for friends and family will be held May 18, from 3 to 5 p.m., at Florence Congregational Church, 130 Pine St., Florence, all that knew her are welcome to join the family to share memories of Emma.
The family would like to thank the staff on the 4th floor I.C.U. at Cooley Dickinson Hospital for their compassionate attentive care of Emma and generosity to the family during her final days.
