HOLYOKE - Margaret S. "Peggy" (Fallon) Creran, 60, of Holyoke, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Western Massachusetts Hospital in Westfield.

She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late Daniel and Sheila (Kennedy) Fallon and was a graduate of Holyoke High School, Holyoke Community College and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Peggy was a retired teacher at John J. Lynch Junior High School and Holyoke High School.
She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Cross Parish, and participated in Junior Achievement.
Peggy is survived by her husband of 36 years, David J. Creran; one son Brian Creran and his wife Jackie of Amherst; one brother Daniel Fallon and his wife Julie of Montague; two sisters, Mary Woodell of Mohnton, Penn. and Kathy Guy and her husband Richard of South Deerfield.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of the Cross Church at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Jerome Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
The Creran family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Northampton Rehabilitation Center and Western Massachusetts Hospital for their dedicated care of Peggy. They would also like to thank their Woods' Avenue neighbors for all of their support.
