NORTHAMPTON - Mary Netto, 85, of 68 Union St., passed away Monday, July 22, 2013, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She will be reunited with her husband Frank M. Netto who passed away Aug. 15, 2009.

She was born Sept. 21, 1927, in Hadley, the daughter of the late Charles and Grace (Murphy) Harlow.

She enjoyed her family, friends and volunteering. One of her passions was the Northampton Senior Center. If you needed something done all you had to do was ask Mary. She was very active in the Northampton Community. Her two favorite phrases were "Live, Laugh and Love" and "It is what it is".

She loved gardening, knitting, sewing and baking. She was an avid sports fan of the Red Sox and the Pittsburgh Steelers and anything that her children and grandchildren were participating in.

She leaves behind her six children and their spouses, Frank and Sue Netto, Pamela Tudryn, Karen and Steve Malinowski, Kevin and Chiqui Netto, Richard Netto and Susan and Rob Galligani. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She is survived by three sisters, Katherine Lucey, Sue Olszewski and Janet Ward and a brother, Robert Harlow.

Calling hours for Mary will be Thursday, July 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton.

The family invites you to join them Friday at 9 a.m. to celebrate the Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mary at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 99 King St., Northampton. Burial will follow at 11 a.m. at the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.

In lieu of flowers, it is Mary's wish that donations be made in her memory to the Northampton Senior Center, 67 Conz St., Northampton.

In celebration of Mary's colorful life and personality it is her request that people wear bright and colorful clothing to the wake and funeral service.
