EASTHAMPTON - Mayona E. (Sullivan) Kirtland, 84, of Easthampton and formerly of Florence, passed away Thursday June 7, 2018, at the Linda Manor Extended Care Facility. Born in Bernardston, Dec. 30, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Timothy and Mary (Vincent) Sullivan.
She worked in the food service department at Smith College for many years. Mayona enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family.
Mayona is survived by her son, Timothy Bruso Jr. of South Hadley; her daughters Sarah Bruso of Norfolk, Connecticut, Lorraine Delaney of Easthampton and Sharon Lashway of Florence; her 14 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mayona was predeceased by her first husband, John J. Bruso; her second husband, Kenneth Kirtland; her siblings and her daughter Susan Bruso. A Graveside Service for Mayona will be held Tuesday, June 12, 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Cemetery in Leeds. Calling Hours are Monday, June 11, 6-8 p.m. at the Ahearn Funeral home.
