FLORENCE - Olga M. Bachinsky, 92, passed peacefully at her home in Florence on Feb. 8, 2013, amongst family, friends and her cat, Chloe.

She was born Oct. 5, 1920, in Bayonne, N.J. and was a devoted educator of grammar school children in Boonton, N.J.

For the past 12 years she has called the beautiful Pioneer Valley, home. She would often say that she was "the luckiest old lady she knew".

She is survived by two daughters, Larysa Bachinsky of Florence and Cynthia B. Kolesar of Southampton, Pa.; as well as a daughter-in-law Georgette Bachinsky of Gaithersburg, Md.; her son-in-laws, Denis Rodrigue and David Kolesar; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Walter and her son Eric.

Olga lived a full, happy, independent life and loved her books, scrabble games and movies.

There will be no formal service but donations may be made to the Dakin Pioneer Valley Animal Shelter or to a .
