WEST YARMOUTH - Pamela J. Burke, 70, formerly of Northampton, passed from this earth unexpectedly Saturday, June 28, 2014, at her home in West Yarmouth.
Pam was born Sept. 11, 1943, in South Hadley, and was a 1961 graduate of South Hadley High school. She studied nursing at Holyoke Hospital School of Nursing, and received her degree and became a registered nurse.
Pam leaves her beloved husband James N. Burke of West Yarmouth; her mother Pauline Reed of Holyoke; her son Bryan J. Burke and his wife Shannon of Hadley, and Michael J. Burke and his wife Johanna of Belmont; and her sister Cynthia Doolittle of Florida. In addition she leaves her precious grandchildren James and Jack Burke of Hadley, and Patrick Burke of Belmont, who brought her great joy and happiness.
Pam was predeceased by her daughter Robin P. Burke and Timothy D. Burke.
Pam will be greatly missed by all who knew her for her quick wit, laughter and love of life.
The Czelusniak Funeral home of Northampton has been entrusted with Pam's care.
Calling hours are Wednesday, July 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3, from the Czelusniak Funeral Home at 9 a.m. with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 99 King St., Northampton, MA. Burial will follow at Bridge Street Cemetery in Northampton.
