NORTHAMPTON - Reece Caraker, 60, of Northampton, passed away Friday at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Born March 13, 1952, in Minot, N.D., he was the son of the late George and Patricia (Monahan) Caraker.
Reece was raised in Penfield, N.Y., and graduated from Suffield High School in Connecticut. He continued his education at Berklee College of Music in Boston and at the University of Hartford in Connecticut.
Reece was a self-employed general contractor known as the "Budget Handyman."
Reece was an avid guitar player who had a deep appreciation for music, art, history and nature. He enjoyed skiing, fishing in his boat and hiking with his three daughters, who were the love and joy of his life.
He is survived by his daughters Elizabeth, Laura and Rebecca Caraker, their mother Diane; his sisters Teddi Massaro and Patricia Fiore; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved cat Ernie.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, at 1 p.m. at the Drozdal Funeral Home, 120 Damon Road, Northampton. Calling hours will be from noon until the time of service. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
