Bobbie was born February 12, 1930, to Clifford and Anne Leavenworth.
she was raised in East Longmeadow and graduated from Springfield Technical High School. In her 30's she returned to collage and graduated Phi Betta Kappa in History from the University of Massachusetts, and then in her 40's earned a degree in Landscape Architecture.
She was predeceased by her husband Roderick A. MacLeod, Jr., and her grandson Roderick "Rory" IV and her brother John Leavenworth.
She leaves her sons Rod III and Stewart of Williamsburg, and Scott of Westfield; her treasured grandchildren Jason, Brianyn, Griffin, Keagan, Timothy, Joshua and Jacob; as well as great-grandchildren Kelslyn, Jayden, Niya and Aalyias. Bobbie, the oldest of four, leaves her sister Patricia Samuels and brother Clifford Leavenworth of Florida and Ann Leavenworth of Springfield.
They have all traveled to spend time with her as did nieces Laura, Colleen and nephew Ronnie from Florida, as well as her former daughter-in-law Cory Johnson from Carson City, Nev.
Bobbie and her husband owned and operated The MacLeod Nursery and Landscaping business which is entering it's 100 year in operation. She loved designing and installing shrub and perennial gardens as well as maintaining her own at the Nursery.
One of her great pleasures was the trip she took to Scotland with her niece Diane Muller. Stories of their adventures have entertained the family for years. She was a Life Master in Duplicate Bridge and was a long time member of the Northampton Bridge Club. Also, a Gourmet Chef, she dazzled her friends and family with years of fabulous dinner parties. She also loved to go to her son's musical shows, several of which in the last year were dedicated just to her favorite songs. She served for many years on the Williamsburg Planning Board.
Bobbie touched everyone's hearts she met, in a wonderful way. Always upbeat, she brought joy to us everyday.
