PLAINFIELD - Rodolph (Junior or JR) Fournier, 76, of Plainfield, died suddenly Jan. 10, 2013, at Munroe Regional Hospital in Ocala, Fla., where he was taken after collapsing at a dance. He had just finished performing his version of the "Peppermint Twist."
The Guest Book is expired.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Karen; a daughter, Nancy of North Adams; two sons, Peter and his wife Lisa of Cheshire and Gary and his wife Jean of Plainfield; two grandsons, Benjamin and Noah of Cheshire; a step-granddaughter, Kaylee of Bernardston; a brother, Robert of Greenfield; a sister, Doris Rand of Old Lyme, Conn.; and a sister, Luella Benson of Rowe.
He drove a bulk milk truck for many years, picking up milk from local farms and later owned his own dump truck. He enjoyed buying and selling old cars and old tractors. He could repair just about anything. He was a people person and valued the time he spent with his many friends at the Red Carpet Restaurant in Adams and at his winter home, Southern Oaks, in Summerfield, Fla. He found singing karoake great fun and took pride in the miles he walked to stay in shape.
A party to celebrate his life will be held in the spring. Details to follow.
