GRANBY - Ruth D. (Drew) L'Abbee, 92, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away peacefully Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2013, after a brief illness.

She was born April 26, 1921, in Holyoke, to William J. and Matilda (Wroe) Drew.
Ruth was educated in the South Hadley public schools and was employed by the National Blank Book Company in Holyoke, for over 10 years.
Ruth resided in the South Hadley and Granby area most of her life until she moved to Port Charlotte, Fla., in 2011.
Ruth was predeceased by her husband Paul of 54 years in 2001, and her son Kevin in 1979. She was also preceded in death by her three sisters, Janette Green, Doris Colty and Hazel Burke, as well as her brother William J. Drew, II.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Linda of Port Charlotte, Fla., and Granby. She also leaves many dear nieces, nephews and several close friends.
The funeral for Ruth will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, at 9:30 a.m. in the Church of Christ, UCC, in Granby, with her burial to follow in West Street Cemetery in Granby. There are no calling hours.
