HARRISON, Ark. - Sandra Jean Miller, 74, of Harrison, passed away peacefully Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013.

She was born Jan. 25, 1939, in Northampton, Mass., to the late Sherwood Paul Strange and Evelyn (Jacque) Strange.
She was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Strange.
Sandra loved family, children, and being a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, baking and reading, as well as writing stories and poems.
Over the years she worked various jobs but her favorite was working with children at Boone County Special Services. Sandra also lovingly served as a foster parent to many, many children in Boone County. She trusted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was of the Methodist affiliation.
Sandra was married to Lawrence Miller for 30 years and together they had five children. She leaves behind four daughters, Heidi Street of Batesville, Heather Rodgers of Harrison, Hope Richardson of Headland, Ala., and Haley Miller of Kansas City, Mo., and one son, Eric Miller of Springdale.
Nine grandchildren survive her, Isaac Street, Erin Sandefur, Kati Street, Haley Rodgers, Jeremiah Richardson, Sarah Miller, Kasi Miller, Alex Madewell and Luke Barber; six great-grandchildren; a niece; and two nephews.
A visitation will be held Thursday, Oct. 17, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Roller-Christeson Funeral Home, 519 North Spring St., Harrison, AR.
The family wishes to thank the wonderful people at Cave City Nursing Home who loved and cared for her these past months.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arkansas Baptist Children's Home or any charity for children.
