HADLEY - Theresa Marie Banas, 54, of 139 Middle St., passed into eternal life Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Baystate Medical Center.

She was born Feb. 16, 1958, in Hadley. She was the beloved daughter of the late Edward J. Banas and Victoria (Machno) Kuzmeski-Banas.

Terry was a lifelong Hadley resident. She was educated in local schools and attended American International College. She was employed at the Baystate Regional Cancer Program for nearly 33 years. She was the administrative secretary for Dr. Seth Kaufman. She was recognized for her tremendous fortitude and perseverance in the service to the medical staff and patients. She was the frontline voice, receiving patient and physician's calls.

She was a lifelong communicant of Most Holy Redeemer Church, a devoted member of the Rosary Sodality and the Most Holy Redeemer Club. Her grace and dedicated service as an extraordinary eucharistic minister to the homebound and the staff and residents of Hadley at Elaine Care and Rehabilitation Center will always be remembered by those she touched. Theresa tirelessly led the Saturday recitations of the Rosary with the many devoted residents at Hadley at Elaine. She also took pride as lecturer in church and proclaiming the ""Word of God"".

Terry leaves her most beloved brother the Rev. Charles Kuzmeski, pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Granby; her dear aunt Frances (Machno) Slattery and her husband Dennis; her dear aunt Helen (Duda) Banas; her godmother Helen Waskiewicz; and numerous members of her extended family and many friends.
