Florence - William E. Lawlor, 77, of 112 Ryan Rd., passed away Friday Dec. 14th at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Born in Flushing, NY August 21, 1935, he was the son of the late John and Margaret (Barry) Lawlor. Bill enlisted in the US Air Force in 1953 and served for 21 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant.
He later was the Security Captain at Kollmorgan for 31 years, retiring in 2010. He was an active member of the Annunciation Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish, serving as a Eucharistic Minister. Bill loved working on cars, NASCAR and was a former bowler.
Bill's wife, Lorraine (Zalenski) Lawlor passed away in 2010.
He is survived by his son William E. Lawlor Jr. and his wife Gail of Ludlow, his 2 daughters Teresa M. Whelan and her husband Mike of Sunderland and Karen L. Halladay and her husband John of Austin, TX, his sister-in-law Livia Lawlor of Surprise, AZ, his 5 grandchildren Jeffrey, Joseph and Justin Lawlor, Richard Alea Jr. and Jordan Halladay, and his 2 great grandchildren Christopher and Noah Lawlor.
He was predeceased by his 2 brothers George Lawlor, Bill's Twin, and John D. Lawlor Jr.
Bill's funeral will be Tuesday morning 9:30 a.m. from the Ahearn Funeral home 783 Bridge Rd., Northampton, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Annunciation Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish at 10:30 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
