GREENFIELD-Phyllis M. Cummings, 89, of Lincoln Street, died Thursday, Oct. 11 at the Charlene Manor Extended Care Facility.

She was born in Moorhead, Minn., on March 3, 1923, the daughter of Earl Deane and Pearl Matilda (Andersen) Sands. She was a graduate of Moorhead High School and was also a graduate of North Dakota Agricultural College now North Dakota State.
Phyllis was the social secretary to the President of Smith College until her retirement in 2004 at the age of 81.
Among her survivors she leaves five children; Suzanne Munger and her husband Jerry of Cazenovia, N.Y., Nancy Cummings of Swanzey Center, N.H., Roger Cummings of Greenfield, Kristine Suarez and her husband Nicomedes of Santa Cruz, Bolivia, Scott Cummings of Greenfield; a sister, Shirley Potter of San Diego, Calif.; 12 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and four nieces.
Phyllis Maris (Sands) Cummings has been reunited with the love of her life, Roger Bruce Cummings, who predeceased her in 1986.
