HOLYOKE - Ethel M. (Jubinville) Sears, 84, of Holyoke, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at Holyoke Medical Center.

She was born in Holyoke, daughter of the late William and Ethel (Williamson) Jubinville and was a 1946 graduate of Holyoke High School.
Ethel lived in Fairview prior to returning to Holyoke and was employed as a medical secretary for 20 years at the office of Dr. Ellis Joffe, retiring in 1983. She was a volunteer at Holyoke Hospital.
Ethel is survived by her beloved husband of 64 years, James J. Sears; a son, James E. Sears and his wife Mariellen of Sandwich; a daughter, Christine E. Sears of Easthampton; four grandchildren, Nicholas Crussana and wife Roxanne, David Crussana, Julie Pasquino and husband Jonathan and Jessica Sears; two great-grandchildren, Luke and Teagan; a sister, Nancy J. Cavanaugh of Amherst; and many nieces and nephews.
Ethel was predeceased by her brothers William and Robert Jubinville.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the Barry J. Farrell Funeral Home, 2049 Northampton St., Holyoke, followed by a Mass in Blessed Sacrament Church in Holyoke at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
