PINCKNEY, Mich. - Elizabeth Theresa Janik, 81, of Pinckney, formerly of Easthampton, Mass., passed away peacefully at home in the presence of her loving family on Jan. 6, 2013.

Elizabeth was born July 15, 1931, in Northampton Mass., to Ernest and Elizabeth Sarrasin.
On Sep. 13, 1952, she married the love of her life, Charles, and together they raised their son, Robert (Theresa) who survives and lives in Pinckney. Also surviving Elizabeth are her siblings, Ernest Sarrasin of Northborough, Mass., Dorothy Mineau of Ware, Mass., Jeanette Gomes of Ludlow, Mass., Lucille Congdon of Chicopee, Mass.; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Among Betty's favorite activities were reading, watching every Boston Red Sox game and having squirt gun fights with her son and great granddaughter.
She will also be dearly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and her many friends.
Services will be at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Borek Jennings Funeral Home, Hamburg Chapel, Hamburg.
Memorial contributions are suggested to, St. Joseph Hospice of Ann Arbor.
