GUILFORD, Conn. - Edith Gill, 99, of Guilford, formally of Holyoke, Mass., died Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, with family members by her side.

She was the devoted wife of the late Edward F. Gill. Mrs. Gill was born Jan. 17, 1915, in Holyoke, Mass., daughter of the late Walter and Helen (Holdroyd) Mitton.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. Mrs. Gill is survived by her children, son Ted Gill (Irene); daughter Marlene Kruczek (Raymond); daughter Madalene Violette; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a daughter Edythe Rinaldi and a great-grandson Nicholas Kruczek.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
Services will be held privately by her family. Funeral arrangements are being handeled by the Ryder Funeral Home of South Hadley, Mass. (413-533-1735).
