HATFIELD - John Dryzgula, 71, beloved husband of Carol Dryzgula, passed away Monday, March 2, 2014, at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Born Nov. 5, 1942, in Northampton, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Baranowski) Dryzgula. John graduated from Northampton High School and attended Western New England College.
He was an Airman First Class serving with the U.S. Air Force serving from 1960 to 1964. John married his wife, Carol Leonard in 1968.
He went to work for New England Telephone working as a cable splicer for over 30 years, retiring from Verizon in 1998.
He was a member of the Hatfield American Legion Post 933 and the Telephone Pioneers. John loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and gardening whenever he could.
He leaves his wife Carol, three sisters, Helen Rossmeisl, Maryanne Brandsey and Lenora Dickinson, and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton. Funeral services will be Friday at 9 a.m. from the Czelusniak Funeral Home of Northampton, followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at St. Valentines National Catholic Church.
