HADLEY - Ingeborg (Inge) Bareiss Martindale, 86, of Agawam formerly of Hadley, MA passed away peacefully on Saturday evening April 26, 2014. Inge was predeceased by beloved her husband of 53 years, Julian (Bud) T. Martindale, Jr.

Ingeborg was born in Dusseldorf, Germany and came to the United States as a young child. She graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield and worked for Westinghouse. Inge's main vocation was as a wife to her husband and a mother to her four daughters. To escape the empty nest syndrome, she worked for several years at the Lathrop Home in Northampton.
Inge is survived by her four loving daughters, Ingrid Joy Martindale (Ernest Bourgeois) of Deerfield Beach, Fla., Laurel E. Dunn (Stephen) of Natick, Liana H. Monahan (Thomas) of Westfield,and Melissa Martindale of Marlborough. She also leaves her two granddaughters, Christina and Kara Dunn of Natick, and a great-granddaughter, Cassidy Gentile of Zephyrhills, Fla. She is also survived by her brother Douglas Bareiss of Lutz, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Ingeborg's Life will be held at Heritage Woods Assisted Living Facility (462 Main St. Agawam, MA 01001) on Monday, May 5, 2014 between 3 and 6 pm. A committal service for both Julian and Ingeborg Martindale will be held at the Massachusetts Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Agawam on Tuesday May 6, 2014 meeting there at 3 pm. All are welcome to attend.
