HADLEY - Pauline L. (Desautels) Champigny, 92, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014, the Elaine Center at Hadley.

Born Aug. 20, 1921, in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Helene (Morissette) Desautels. She lived in South Hadley for most of her life, moving to Hadley seven years ago.
She was a longtime Communicant of St. Theresa's Church in South Hadley, where she was a member of the Rosary Altar Society. Pauline loved spending time with her family, cooking, doing needle point, embroidery and knitting. Her husband Robert W. Champigny passed away in 2005.
Pauline is survived by her son Robert Champigny and his wife Carol of Bluffton, South Carolina; her daughter Michelle Doyle and her husband Philip of Reston, Virginia; her five grandchildren, Derek and Craig Champigny, Susan Doyle Gehring and Michael and Kevin Doyle; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her sister Juliette Kozak.
Pauline's funeral will be Saturday at 9 a.m. from the Ahearn Funeral Home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Most Holy Redeemer Church, 120 Russell St., Hadley. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery in South Hadley. Calling hours are Friday from 6 to 8 p.m.
