NORTHAMPTON - Marguerite L. (Caouette) Squires Beauregard Richter Lemieux, 81, of Coles Meadow Road, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014, at the Cooley Dickinson Hospital.

Born May 22, 1932, in Holyoke, she was the daughter of the late Armand and Germaine (Billings) Caouette. She was educated in Holyoke schools and resided there most of her life, moving to Northampton in 1980.

Marguerite worked as a nurses aide for many years. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish in Northampton. She was a member of the Red Hats, the World War II Club and the Eagles, all in Northampton. She loved playing scrabble, bingo and pool. She enjoyed spending time at the beach on Cape Cod and often made contributions to .

Marguerite is survived by her husband Richard D. Lemieux; her two sons, Harold Squires of Belchertown, and John Beauregard of Chicopee; her three daughters, Charmaine Koske of Granby, Doreen Tolpa of Belchertown, and Karen Culberson of Dallas, Texas; her sister Annmarie Harris of Little Rock, Arkansas; her 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her daughter Lisa Squires and two grandsons, Joshua Tolpa and Kolton Culberson.

Marguerite's funeral will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. from the Ahearn Funeral Home, 783 Bridge Road, Northampton, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at at 11:30 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish Church, 99 King St., Northampton. Burial will follow in West Street Cemetery in Granby. Calling hours are Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m.
