HADLEY - Kathleen P. Kermensky, 86, of Hadley, passed away peacefully Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Center for Extended Care in Amherst.

Kathleen was born Oct. 7, 1927, in North Hadley, the daughter of the late Jacob and Katerina (Jandzinski) Cycz of North Hadley. She was the youngest of 12 children.
Kathleen married George J. Kermensky, Sr., of Hadley, on June 11, 1949. Kathleen loved her family and enjoyed gardening, raising vegetables and especially flowers. She enjoyed family gatherings and loved cooking.
She was predeceased by her husband George Kermensky, Sr., in April of 2014, her brothers Edward, Joseph, Peter, Stanley, Frank and John Cycz and sisters Mary Matusko and Agnes Gurski.
She leaves her children George, Jr., and his wife Gail and Joan Hulse and her husband Charles; her grandchildren Jeremiah and his wife Saima, Adrienne Skyler and her husband David and Nathan; and her great-granddaughter Ella. She also leaves her three sisters, Wanda Lalashius, Adeline Baranoski and Dorothy Terrell and her sister-in-law Vera Kermenski and many nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to extend thanks and gratitude to the staff for the loving care Kathleen received from the Center for Extended Care.
All services will be private with burial in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Hatfield. There are no calling hours.
Donations in Kathleen's memory may be made to St. Valentines National Catholic Church, 127 King St., Northampton, MA 01060.
