NORTHAMPTON - Elizabeth (Mayowski) Tudryn, 93, of Northampton, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2014, at the Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing in Springfield, with her loving family by her side.

She was born July 20, 1920, in Wroxton, Saskatchewan, Canada, and was the son of the late Peter and Mary (Bambush) Mayowski.

Elizabeth had attended schools in Canada, and on May 22, 1943, she married the love of her life, the late John A. Tudryn. Together they raised their three wonderful children.

Betty had worked for 29 years at Pro Brush in Florence, as a machine operator. After Pro Brush, she went on to work at Stop & Shop in Northampton, as a cashier for 23 years before retiring in April of 2011.

Betty was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church and was also a member of the Blessed Virgin Sodality for over 50 years. She was an ardent Bingo player, and avid gardener who enjoyed beautiful flowers, but most of all, she loved her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her extended family. Betty will be greatly missed by all who cherished her.

Betty is survived by her son Thomas Tudryn and his wife Pauline of Chicopee; her daughter Elizabeth Mongeau and her husband Gary of Las Vegas, Nevada; her daughter-in-law Janet Tudryn of Florence; her five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother Anthony Mayoski; her sisters Kathleen Berry, Ethel Hudema, and Marilyn Carley, all of Canada; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and her husband John, whom passed away in 1968, she was predeceased by her son Donald Tudryn and her sister Marian Langevin.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Drozdal Funeral Home of Northampton. Funeral will be Thursday at 8 a.m. from the funeral home and a Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church located at 354 Elm St., Northampton. Burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ""Donald J. Tudryn Scholarship Fund"", checks may be payable to SVAHS, 80 Locust St., Northampton, MA 01060.
