SUNDERLAND - Mary Louise (Hrynyshyn) Coffey, 93, of Sunderland, passed away peacefully Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, surrounded by family.

Daughter to the late Alec and Rose (Walko) Hrynyshyn, wife of the the late Joseph F. Coffey and predeceased by her siblings Olive Swiderski, Julie Koncas, Ann Werhn, and Alec, Rudy, and Roger Hrynyshyn. Surviving are her beloved sisters Louise Ciak, Jeanette Meyer, and Jay Ouimette of Canada. Also her sisters-in-law Helen Hrynyshyn, Janet Hrynyshyn and brother-in-law Edward Swiderski. Extraordinary mother of Marilyn (Muscarelle) and her husband Dennis. Cherished grandmother of Andrew, Charlene and her husband Jeffrey Elliott. Mary is also survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Mary resided in Bloomfield, New Jersey, where she met the love of her life, Joseph at the Promenade and they married December 1943. She was an active member of the Rosary Society at Sared Heart Church located in Bloomfield. Mary lived and worked most of her life in New Jersey, making lifelong friends. After her husband passed away, she moved back into her childhood home with her sister Louise.
Calling hours will be held Friday, Sept. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. A Panahyda service will be Friday evening. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 6, at 9:15 a.m. from the Wrisley Funeral Home, followed by a Devine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit Ukrainian Church celebrated by the Rev.Fr. Robert Markovitch
