PALMER - Bertha H. (Koss) Foschini, 98, died peacefully at home surrounded by family on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013.

Born July 28, 1914, in Palmer, she was the daughter of Michael and Helena (Czech) Koss and was a lifelong resident of Palmer.
She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and worked as a hairdresser for 40 years at the former Monson Developmental Center before retiring.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Antonio in 1989.
She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Gail Maziarz (Stephen) of Palmer, and Judy Usaforest (Joseph) of Northampton, and her five grandchildren, Terry Tougas, Susan Murphy, Mark Usaforest, Martin Maziarz, and Tracey Santarelli. She also leaves five great-grandchildren, Courtney and Rebecca Murphy, Kiley and Bailey Tougas and Maria Santarelli, and siblings, Edward Koss (Paulee) of Palmer, John Koss (Camille) of West Brookfield and Josephine Wozniak (Albert) of Worcester.
A calling hour will be Thursday, Jan. 10, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian burial at 11 a.m. at St. Thomas Church and burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
