EASTHAMPTON - Pauline M. Marquis, 74, of Easthampton, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2013, in Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton.

She was born June 30, 1938, in Northampton, the daughter of the late Patrick and Mary Besette McCarthy.

She lived in Chesterfield where she attended schools and was a graduate of Smith Vocational School in Northampton. She was the widow of Roger F. Marquis who died Dec. 21, 2005.

She was employed by Tubed Products in Easthampton, retiring in 2000. She was previously employed by Nini's Restaurant. Pauline was a member and past president of the former Easthampton Ladies Auxilarary of V.F.W., also a member of the Florence Ladies Auxiliarary V.F.W. She was an avid reader and a fan of Boston Red Sox. She was a craft maker, attending many shows throughout the area.

Pauline is survived by four sons, Tracy Perry and Steven Boyer both of Easthampton, Garry Boyer of Bennington, Vt., Richard Boyer of Greenfield; two daughters, Mary Sankolewicz of Northampton and Kathleen Champagne of Strafford, N.H..; two brothers, Owen McCarthy of Randolph and James McCarthy of Seminole, Fla.; one sister Mary McCarthy; 18 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 2. 2013, at 7 p.m. in Mitchell Funeral Home, 15 Park St., Easthampton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in Pauline's memory may be given to VNA Hospice of Cooley Dickinson, 168 Industrial Drive, Northampton, MA 0l060 or to the American Breast Cancer Foundation, 1220 B. East Joppa Road, suite 332, Towson, MD 21286.
