WESTHAMPTON - Willette M. (Fitzpatrick) White passed away Monday, March 4, 2013.

She was born July 1, 1929, in North Tarrytown, N.Y.
She was the second of five children of Irene (Mitchell) Fitzpatrick and William Fitzpatrick.
Willette is survived by her sister Irene Eade and nephew Edward of Main Road, Westhampton; niece Irene Ryan and her husband John Garelli and their two sons, Colton and Tallon, all of Westhampton; nephews Patrick, John and Daniel Ryan; niece Nancy Gaffney Graham and husband Scott and sons Brian and Jeffrey Nutting.
She served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Fort Hamilton, Brooklyn, N.Y.
She married Robert White May 3, 1949, and settled in Northampton. They moved to Westhampton in 1955, bred, raised and showed collies and shelties and established the Ken-Rob Sheltie Kennel. She was an American Kennel Club judge.
She worked for many years at Northampton State Hospital as a licensed practical nurse. She retired and became a special police officer for the city of Northampton as the dog officer. She was the Hampshire County Dog Officer for many years.
Willette was an officer at the World War II Vets Club in Northampton. She was active in the Northampton Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Ahearn Funeral Home on Bridge Road in Northampton, with a funeral service at Ahearn's on Friday at 11 a.m.
