SUNDERLAND – Jean Campbell Mathison, 84, of Sunderland, died suddenly Friday, April 12, 2013, at Buckley Healthcare in Greenfield.

She grew up in Cromwell, Conn. and Longmeadow, the daughter of Haland W. and Dorothy (Terrill) Campbell.
Jean attended Classical High School, where she met her future husband. She earned her degree at American International College and was a teacher for a number of years. Jean married the Rev. Donald S. Mathison Aug. 25, 1963.
Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter Holly Ruth of Ithaca, N.Y., her son Douglas and daughter-in-law Debbie of Marion, N.C., and four grandchildren, Rebecca, Kimberly, Kaitlin and Brian.
A celebration of Jean's life will be held at the First Congregational Church in Sunderland Saturday at 10 a.m. The family will receive
friends following the service. A private burial will be at the Hillcrest Park Cemetery in Springfield, at the convenience of the family.
Wrisley Funeral Home in South Deerfield is in charge of arrangements.
