Irene Gryder Obituary
Irene was a communicant of Our Lady of The Valley Church and belonged to the Easthampton Senior Center quilting club. She loved music, life and family.
Irene was married to the late Paul Gryder who passed away in 1997.
She leaves her sons Gerard Chatterton and his wife Donna of Ludlow, John Chatterton and his wife Lisa of Florence and David Chatterton and his wife Bea of Florence; her daughters Constance Chatterton of Florence and Jean Miller and her partner Keith of Florence; her brothers Benjamin Murphy of Easthampton and Norbert Murphy and his wife Shirley of Nova Scotia, her sister Ann Earl and her husband Edmund of Nova Scotia; 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Boucher-O'Brien Funeral Home, 7 Pleasant St., Easthampton, followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of The Valley Church, 33 Adams St., Easthampton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours are Friday from 4 to 7 p.m.
Donations in her memory may be made to Bethlehem House Inc., P.O. Box 1393, Easthampton, MA 01027

Irene brought joy to others. She was such a talented musician and had a great sense of humor. Irene is sincerely missed.

To all of the Chatterton Family,
I am deeply sorry for the loss of your Mother. She was such a wonderful person and was very special to all of us throughout the years. I knew my entire life and will miss her very much. She had a great sense of humor, was a talented musician, was also very kind and compassionate. My thoughts are with you all and your families during this difficult time.

Jean, and family,
I was deeply saddened to learn of your Mom's passing. She was a great lady, who I wish I got to know sooner. She was a fighter, and is now no longer suffering. She will always be in your hearts, and will be looking down over you. May she rest in peace.
