COLUMBUS, Ohio — John Ed "Jimmy" Browning Jr., 73, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of the Delbarton area, passed away Sun., Sept. 29, 2013, at the Mt. Carmel Hospital in Columbus.
Born March 11, 1940, at Taylorville, he was a son of the late John Ed and Dixie Ooten Browning. Also preceding him in death was a sister, Hazel Turner, and several other brothers and sisters.
Jimmy was retired from the Columbus Coated Fabrics Co. and was a long haul truck driver for several years.
His survivors include his son, Brock Edward Browning of Columbus; daughter, Lisa Marie Browning of Columbus; a brother, William R. "Bill" (Reba) Browning of Delbarton; sisters, Norene Browning and Verna Harmon, both of Delbarton, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at noon Sat., Oct. 5, at Pie Church of God with Rev. Randy Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the Ooten Cemetery at Trace Creek.
Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. the home of his sister, Verna Harmon at Taylorville.
