Kevin Raymond Meacham March 18, 1967 – September 10, 2013 Kevin Raymond Meacham of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 10, 2013. He will be forever missed and loved by his grieving family and many friends. Kevin was born in Denver, Colorado, and attended school in Grand Junction and at Arizona State University. As manager and part owner of American Furniture/Lazy Boy Furniture Gallery he became aquainted with many people and was a friend to everyone he met. Restoring vintage cars, fishing, skiing, and 4-wheeling were his passions and the ability to design and fix anything was his claim to fame. He could joke with anyone, and would give the shirt off his back to those in need. To those who knew him well his greatest attribute was his dedication to his son. He was one of the most loving fathers of all time. He is survived by his son, Bryce Raymond Meacham; daughters, Danisha (Josh) Bogue, and Megan (Steaphen) Monger; his former wife, Shawna Meacham; father, Stephen (Georgia) Meacham; mother, Marsha (Jerreld Kahler) Meacham; sister, Stephanie (Tim) Sherman; significant other, Stephanie Edwards (Jarod, Devin, Drake); nephew, Casey Sherman, and nieces, Ashleigh Peterson, and Rachel and Megan Sherman. Services are 9:30 a.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013, at Callahan-Edfast Mortuary, 2515 Patterson, followed by a gathering of friends and family at the Bookcliff Country Club at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate your consideration of the Suicide Prevention Center and Forget Me Not with HopeWest Hospice.

Dear Marsha,
My heart aches for your loss.
I lost a son last year and only those who have lost a child can know the heartbreak.
Wanted you to know I am thinking of you.

Kevin was my neighbor here in the Redlands. I met him recently when I saw him in his driveway with his boy. We chatted awhile and I observed that he had a special rapport with this child. I was looking forward to more conversations with Kevin, and the little guy (who has his father's charisma).
