Felix Peter Kloberdanz

Felix Peter Kloberdanz December 21, 1929 – October 27, 2012 Felix Peter Kloberdanz of Grand Junction, CO died October 27, 2012, at St. Mary's Hospital at the age of 82. He was born to Felix Martin Kloberdanz and Pauline Molly (Appelhanz) Kloberdanz on December 21, 1929, in Sterling, CO. Felix was the youngest of 11 children. His parents came to the U.S. from Rothammel, Russia in 1913. They were Germans from Russia. Felix was a resident of Grand Junction for 50 years. He worked as an operator/mechanic for Corn Construction of Grand Junction, CO for 25 years until he retired in 1992. After he retired he enjoyed snow mobiling on the Grand Mesa with his wife Dorothy and were members of the Snow Skippers. He was also a long time member of the Elks Club and the Germans from Russia Club. Early in his retirement he enjoyed artistic metal work. He had a love for nature and very much enjoyed all the birds he could attract to his yard in various ways. Time spent in his garden/yard growing the best tomatoes or the most delicious peaches occupied much of his time. Felix had a natural desire to help his neighbors in any way that he could. It was a regular part of his life. He loved all of his family and showed it to them in many ways. Felix was previous married to Verda Fitzpatrick of Grand Junction, CO, but then divorced March of 1976. They were married 29 years. Felix then married Dorothy Joy Crane LeMar of Grand Junction, CO in November of 1977. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy of Grand Junction, CO; three sons, Sam and Mike Kloberdanz, both of Grand Junction, and Gary McAllister of Albuquerque, N.M.; three daughters, Virginia (Kloberdanz) McKay, Karen McClelland and Cindy White, all of Grand Junction; two brothers, Fulton of Sterling, CO, and Frank of Miles City, MT; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church Friday the 9th of November at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment will be at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
