Myrna Joy Terry

Myrna Joy Terry May 10, 1948 – July 7, 2013 Myrna Terry passed away, after a long battle with heart disease, at the age of 65, on July 7, 2013. She was born on May 10, 1948, in Cortez, CO to Glen and Naoma (Lynn) Chadd. She spent her childhood in the Naturita area, and attended Nucla High School. Myrna married Oscar Terry III on May 22, 1964, in Naturita, CO. He preceded her in death on September 10, 2012. She was a bank teller for most of her career, working at several local bank branches. She and Oscar were residents of Nucla, Grand Junction, and Whitewater, CO, and Rochester, and Coleman, TX at different times in their lives. They were members of the Cowboy Church in Loma. Myrna enjoyed horses, and was a breeder of cattle dogs. She enjoyed coaching little league baseball, and softball. Her favorite past time was spending time with family and friends. Myrna is survived by her son, Myron Terry of Grand Junction, CO; daughter, Monette Baldwin of Whitewater, CO; God-daughter, Kendra Diaz of San Antonio, TX; brother, Buddy Chadd of Whitewater, CO; sister, Joyce Diaz of Coleman, TX, and six grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her son, Marlon Terry. Visitation will be held at Martin Mortuary on Thursday, July 11 at 5:00 p.m. with funeral services to be held at the Victory Life Church on Friday, July 12 at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Rex Townsley will officiate. She will be laid to rest at the Orchard Mesa Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made in Myrna's honor to Hospice.
