Otis Andrews passed away on October 28, in Keller, Texas.
Known to family and friends as "Bud", he was born on June 24, 1926, in Long Beach, California. Bud was married to JoAnn, the love of his life, for 42 years and they made their home in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Bud had three children, Keith Andrews, Coni Bornemann, and Mike Andrews, and three step-children, Randy Roper, Debra Jensen, and Cheryl Richards. He was also blessed with 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
A World War II Army Veteran, Bud proudly served in the Philippines and Korea. He had many careers during his professional life. He worked with an oil drilling machinery manufacturer, founded the BudLee company, one of the first makers of skate boards, and was a real estate broker in Long Beach, California. Later, Bud was a rancher in DeBeque, Colorado, and then held several positions with the US Census Bureau.
Bud had many interests and enjoyed gardening, making bread, playing card games, and watching the weather. For many years he had a pilot's license and enjoyed flying. He was a committed follower of Jesus Christ and was passionate about sharing his faith with all those he met. He was a generous, warm, loving man and he will be missed by all those whose lives he touched.
A memorial service for Bud will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at the River of Life Alliance Church in Grand Junction, CO.
