Renate Cinkle

Renate Cinkle December 4, 1943 – April 7, 2013 Renate Cinkle was a multi-faceted, free spirit, who spent her life living on her own terms. She departed this life Sunday, April 7th, 2013. She is survived by her loving family, husband, Douglas Cinkle; daughters, Petra Cooley and her husband, Chuck of Mt. Vernon, WA, and Melanie Cinkle and her partner, Kammy Bishop of Denver, CO. She is survived by three grandchildren, Chelsi, Laura, and Brett, and two great-grandchildren, Brody and Bently. Renate will be remembered as a woman who choose the road less traveled. If you were her friend you knew you were always welcome in her home, and you could count on a glass of wine and a lively discussion on her front porch as the sun was setting just over the ridge. She thought outside the box and welcomed ideas from beyond the mainstream. Her perspective, sense of humor, and keen eye for the unusual will be missed! In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted at the Renate Cinkle Breast Cancer Foundation through US Bank. For those who would like to join the family in a remembrance of her life, there will be a potluck on Saturday. It will be held at Colorado Cellars Winery at 2:00 under the gazebo. The address is 3553 E Rd., Palisade, CO 81526.
