Robert "Bob" C. Dickey, Sr. of Grand Junction, Colorado, passed away in his home on November 7, 2013. Bob was born in Bayonne, New Jersey, on May 11, 1935, to Helen M. Bloomfield and Charles E. Dickey.
He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
Bob graduated from Rutgers University and Fairleigh Dickensen University earning Master's degrees in engineering, and he had a career as a Mechanical Engineer. He then found success as a Realtor for Century 21. While living in Grand Junction, he was a volunteer policeman, worked with the Citizens on Patrol and also enjoyed various activities such as bowling.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Marilou Dultgen (Dennis); son, Robert Dickey, Jr.; step-children, Steven Blender, Emmalee Blender and Carolann Blender; his sisters, Charlene Larson, Lyn Turner, and Elizabeth Moncur and brother, William Dickey; grandchildren, Dawn Dueltgen and Cody Dultgen; step-grandchildren, Virginia Night, Gay-lah Hollings, Tiffany Blender, Mariah Spencer, and Sharissa Blender; two great-granddaughters, and a host of nieces and nephews. Bob is predeceased by his wife of 35 years, Marjorie A. Dickey and his parents.
A memorial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Mesa Funeral Services, 2825 North Ave, Grand Junction, Colorado, 81501.
