Anthony "Tony" Winick

Anthony "Tony" Winick September 23, 1979 - February 17, 2010 Anthony "Tony" Winick, 30, of Greeley, CO joined God and his past family members on February 17, 2010 in Greeley after a brave and courageous fight with cancer for five and one half years. Tony was born September 23, 1979 in Fort Collins, CO to Tim and Sandy (Steffen) Winick. Also providing support to Tony later in life was his step-mother, Elaine Winick. On October 19, 2000 Tony married the love of his life, Deanna Price. They have two wonderful children together. Tony and Deanna spent 15 years of their lives together and Tony never left Deanna's side and continued to express his love for her until the end. He attended Thompson Valley High School and was a "hands on" learner. Tony was an extraordinary Artist and Finish Carpenter whose work can be seen throughout the region. Some of his most noted work is seen at the new addition to North Colorado Medical Center. Tony was also a well known Car Builder and received several awards for his work. Tony accomplished a long term goal by becoming a member of Majesty Car Club. Tony was a very devoted husband, father, loving son and grandson. He was a perfectionist who excelled in all endeavors. He was also a very generous person who loved to share his time with others. Tony is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Deanna; sons, Tru and Turk Winick; parents, Tim and Elaine Winick; mother, Sandy Steffen; siblings, Hillary, Elizabeth Boese (Eric Shultz), Elisha (Mark) Ryan, Nicholas Steffen, Meriha Boese, Megan Rivas, Maria Rivas; mother and father-in-law, Jack and Joan Price, and sister-in-law, Laura (Kelly) Sutton. Also surviving are grandparents, Aldine Winick, Wayne and Marilyn Steffen, Doris Sablotny, Don and Lois Harned, Joe and Mary Aschenbrenner; best friend, Randy Paro, and many numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, LeRoy Winick. Visitation will be 5 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, February 22, 2010 at Adamson Chapel. Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at First Church of The Nazarene, 2515 West 16 Street, Greeley.
