Walt, I did not hear about your father's passing until now. I always envied your relationship with your father. You were so lucky to have such a great Dad. He was always there for you and he put up with our little adventures when we were teenagers with good humor.

I am sorry for your loss Walt, but I truly believe that we never really lose anyone we love as long as we keep them in our heart.

Dear Wally-
I always adored your parents. They loved you so unconditionally-what a lucky kid you have always been! I used to enjoy going to your house- and seeing your Dad's trains and talking to your Mom. I will always remember when they were explaining to me that you were an only child because if they had a sister for you, her name would have been Ima Gass----and they just didn't think that would be fair. What a hoot!

Remember when you and I hit the cow out in the boonies? Your Dad was not happy about the damage to the car, but good ole Mr. Gass just let it roll off of him like water off a duck. What a wonderful man.
Warm, fond memories will soon ease the pain of your loss. Your Dad had a wonderfully full life and will be missed by all of us.

Love ya
Marsh

Walt:

Sorry for your loss. He will be missed. Your father was always fun to be with. It was with pleasure that he accompanied me with the U-Haul truck driving his sister's goods to Washington State. He was a wonderful Uncle in-law. I always enjoyed visiting with him.

Dear Walt ~ I am so sad for you for the loss of your Dad. After my own Dad died when I was eleven, I was so lucky to gain Al as my new Dad on November 1, 1969. He was so loving, patient & always had a new joke to put a smile on my face. He could fix & repair anything & his train set-up was nothing short of amazing. He was always proud of you, Walt. Now he lives on in your heart. May he rest in peace.

Love, Pam
