Curtis "Bud" Duffy January 14, 1937 – March 4, 2013 Curtis "Bud" Duffy, of Meeker, Colorado, passed away March 4, 2013, St. Mary's Hospital. He was 76. He was born January 14, 1937, to Bernard and Ruth Duffy in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. He attended school in Silt, Colorado. Bud joined the Marine Corps early in life and served for 12 years. He was a proud member of the VFW Post 5843. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter and had many stories and jokes for everyone and never met a stranger. Bud married Judy McBride, which ended in divorce. He later married Juanita Goulette. He is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita; his parents; three brothers, Vernon, Walton, and Sanford, and three sisters, Maxine, Bessie, and Coleen. He is survived by his companion, Mary Ann Copeland of Meeker, CO; daughter, Doris (David) Cushman of Portland, OR; step-daughter, Kim (Dick) Roberts of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Lenis Horn of Grand Junction, CO; brother, Kenneth (Polly) Duffy of Grand Junction, CO; sister-in-law, Jo Ann Duffy of Rifle, CO; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. He also had several nieces, nephews, and very special friends, Cole Fritzlan, and Shorty Frantz. A memorial service will be held in his honor on March 23, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Fairfield Community Center, 200 Main St., Meeker, Colorado.
